Decorative picture frame border in portrait format, built from three bands: palmette, star band and gothic tracery from the outside in. The corners are mitred; the pattern repeats 7 times across and 9 times down. In addition, the bands are divided differently, 2 to 3 links per unit; the bands are separated by a gap; thin rules divide the bands; the links stand free on the background. Vines, leaves and blossoms are drawn as solid shapes and repeat link by link along the whole length. The fine bands are drawn with thin lines and stay legible at small print sizes.
