Glass against a dark ground: flat overlapping discs, with a warm caustic along the edge. 12 filaments of light run through it, one per note: pitch places them, velocity sets their brightness. Light gathers in the edges, while straight bands of reflected glow run across the faces. Cold filaments sit inside the warm ridge, as a prism would place them, and a near-black break runs alongside each of the brightest. 4 bands lie in focus in the foreground. A second band lies far behind, out of focus. Vector throughout; only the rear band carries a blur filter.
