Decorative picture frame border in portrait format, built from four bands: gothic tracery, ivy scroll, fleur de lis band and bead and reel from the outside in. The corners are butt jointed with the side rail running through; the pattern repeats 5 times across and 15 times down. In addition, each unit carries three links. Vines, leaves and blossoms are drawn as solid shapes and repeat link by link along the whole length. The fine bands are drawn with thin lines and stay legible at small print sizes.
