Decorative picture frame border in portrait format, built from three bands: spiral scroll, step band and tulip frieze from the outside in. The corners are mitred; the pattern repeats 7 times across and 8 times down. In addition, each unit carries four links; thin rules divide the bands. Vines, leaves and blossoms are drawn as solid shapes and repeat link by link along the whole length. The fine bands are drawn with thin lines and stay legible at small print sizes.
