Decorative picture frame border in portrait format, built from three bands: palmette, gothic tracery and spiral scroll from the outside in. The corners are butt jointed with the side rail running through; the pattern repeats 9 times across and 10 times down. In addition, the bands are divided differently, 1 to 2 links per unit; the bands are separated by a gap; thin rules divide the bands. Vines, leaves and blossoms are drawn as solid shapes and repeat link by link along the whole length. The fine bands are drawn with thin lines and stay legible at small print sizes.
